“One staff member rudely insulted me, another was kind of pompous. Then again there were at least a dozen who went out of their way to make sure that I enjoyed every portion of the amenities that the hotel offered. The two most important factors in considering this hotel is: 1) the one-block walk to Roma Termini train station which connects to the airport on a half hour trip, and 2) it is right across the street from the SIT shuttle bus stop to the airport, which is a one hour ride. I did each: the train to arrive and the shuttle to get back to the airport. I don't think I should have done the shuttle and I don't think I would do it again- the biggest reason being the lack of social distancing on the bus. But it boards in a straight line right across from the front door of the Santina. The food was impressive. Breakfast covered everything I've seen in other countries, except for hash browns! The staff are very well-versed about gluten intolerance and lactose intolerance. While they don't guarantee that the kitchen is open every day for lunch, it was for every day that I was there, and the beef burger was simply the best I've ever had. Chicken fillet for dinner was awesome. Around me were people from other countries eating some of the Italian dishes and the plates looked incredibly well fed. The hop on hop off tour buses were only a block or two walk away. The only thing that could've used a little bit of attention, besides the rude staff member who apparently doesn't like old men, is that the bed was a little bit too big and therefore the chair to sit at the desk kept getting tangled in the frame of the bed. Maybe the bed could be pushed over another half a foot. But it was all very comfortable.”
